Employees that have experienced an unfortunate accident and been temporarily placed on prescription drugs for pain management are at higher risk for dependence upon the substance.
Again, this practice will benefit your business by eliminating costly loss in productivity, but this also benefits employees by providing a cautionary standard that may encourage responsible use of prescription medicine during their healing process.
Remember, though, that all drug screening standards must be listed within your company’s drug screening policy.
